As General Manager at Daniel Island's only waterfront restaurant, The Kingstide, Alex Goetzfried cultivates an exceptional dining experience, is passionate about empowering his team, and aims to deliver memorable moments for every guest. A New York native, Alex's foundation was built in the city's vibrant culinary scene, brining a unique blend of expertise to his leadership. His journey, from honing his skills as a Chef de Partie at a Michelin-starred restaurant to producing and hosting the acclaimed 'George Hirsch Lifestyle' on CreateTV, PBS, and NPR, reflects his deep passion for food and hospitality. A Baruch College journalism graduate and accomplished food writer, Alex's diverse background fuels his commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. 

Outside of the restaurant, Alex enjoys hiking with his family, and his adventurous spirit takes him around the globe, from decade-long backpacking expeditions and spearfishing adventures in South America and Africa to exploring local trails on his motorcycle and mountain bike.
